In 2015 it is 65 years since Finland and China established diplomatic relations, the exact date being 28 October 1950. Finland was one of the first Western countries to recognize the People's Republic of China. It was also the first country with market economy system to conclude a long-term trade agreement, in 1953, with China.
The governments of Finland and China have decided to celebrate the anniversary by highlighting the long-term bilateral cooperation in the form of events, visits and communications. The Embassy of Finland in Beijing and the Consulate General in Shanghai welcomes Finns and Finnish organizations to tell their story about the collaboration with China in the past, now or in the foreseen future.
The stories will be posted on the website of the Embassy and the Consulate General. They will also be promoted through our social media channels Weibo (more than 50 000 followers) and Wechat (newly opened). The main target audience are the Chinese.
Please note that you might already have this kind of story or article ready. It does not necessarily have to be tailor-made for this purpose. Just share it with us.
Also, naturally you can use your story also on your own channels and some of the best ones will be promoted by the Embassy/Consulate General to Chinese media interested in Finland.
