Mr. Jari Koskinen, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry of Finland will visit China at the invitation from the Chinese Minister of Agriculture, Mr. HAN Changfu.
Minister Koskinen travels with a comprehensive business delegation representing 19 companies from different sectors including agricultural machinery, food and forest industries, food safety and water resource management.
In his programme there are also appointments in various other Chinese Ministries, State Authorities and Institutes like General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine (AQSIQ), Ministry of Water Resources, State Forestry Administration, Beijing Forestry University and Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences.
In Tianjin Minister Koskinen will have an appointment in the Agro-Environment Protection Institute (AEPI) of the China Agricultural Academy of Sciences (CAAS). Visits to a farm and to a dairy company are also on the agenda in Tianjin.
The main aim of the visit is to foster and widen the existing well functioning bilateral cooperation between Chinese and Finnish authorities and companies. In addition, new commercial partnerships are actively sought.
